Entering the World of Dancing Dancing? Hmmmmm. I've danced before but taking it seriously? Naaaah! I was like "Me, a dancer? Yeah right! Never gonna happen.".
BUT!
One particular guy tried and succeeded to change that.
And that guy is
Francis Luiz "Dams" R. Damaso, 18 of age, Popping Master, member of Swaggerkraut Crew and Ciphers Crew.
As you can see in the picture, his kinda big? Right? No offense Dams! Ironic, isn't it?
I remember that day, during our FYDP (First Year Development Program) period when our teacher asked us to perform in the class. We planned and came to a conclusion that we will dance and perform a solo afterwards. Then came Francis's turn, I was like "WTF?!", turned me speechless. Damn this big guy is really good! After that, i started to learn his style of dancing. I started to watch tutorial videos on YouTube and eventually learned the dance.
Then came 2ND Year College "The Year of the CS2", when we started to join a dance competition in our division. After practicing day and night, our hard work has paid off! We won and became champions in our division.
After that night, we were invited to Audition in the division's Crew called "Ciphers" which is we are now currently on. Joining to that crew was a dream come true! A week ago before the auditions we were passing through the hallway seeing the poster "Ciphers Auditions" and we were like "Asa uy! Mga imba man yan sila. Wala tayong chance jan. Haha! (^^)".
After we joined, a sudden decision came to our Master/Crew Leader, that decision would be choosing us to represent our division for the Dance Showdown. We practiced, sacrificed, and etc.. Even though we did not win, it was still worth it! All I'm after was the experience, and the fun we had while dancing. That was one of the most memorable day of our lives.
Dancing is now a part of my life, never will dancing not be a part of it.
I am me when I am dancing.
Dancing is Life <3
Thank you Dams. I will never forget you.
